The last chapter of the Chrysalids: Synopsis.

The final chapter of the novel, The Chrysalids, finds the main characters, David, Rosalind and Petra, in a flying machine overtop the city of Zealand. As they make their decent they notice the amazing speed at which the Zealanders telepathically communicate, far faster than the three escapees from Waknuk, and are eager to learn more. Before they knew it, the flying machine had landed and they were being greeted by a crowd of welcoming Zealanders. Later that night, David has a new dream, of a new place. He dreams of giant flying ships, much larger than the one he flew in to get to Zealand. These ships could journey to the stars and beyond. Knowing the type of dream it was, having had visions in the past of the city of Zealand, David is sure these ships are real, or could at least be built. The chapter ends with him making the decision to inquire about the star ships to the Sealand lady. The main characters are happy with their new home, and the Zealanders are happy to have them.
